The Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries completed the activities of the workshop held today under the title “Standard Specifications for Inks and Printing Technology”

amid a distinguished presence and great interaction from workers and those interested in the sector. The workshop witnessed a presentation of a number of important topics, including:
Reviewing the most prominent Egyptian and international standard specifications related to inks. Identifying the latest quality requirements in the field of printing technology. Discussing the mechanisms for obtaining The Egyptian Quality Mark and certificates of conformity, opening the door to dialogue and answering participants’ questions and inquiries. We extend our thanks and appreciation to all the experts and lecturers who enriched the meeting with valuable scientific content, and to all attendees for their effective participation and interest in developing the industry and adhering to standard standards.

The Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries, at its headquarters in Cairo, held an introductory symposium on The New Egyptian Labor Law, as part of its ongoing efforts to support member companies and keep abreast of legislative developments regulating the labor market.

The symposium reviewed the most important updates included in the law, especially with regard to regulating labor relations, types of contracts, hours of work and rest, leaves, and termination controls, in addition to mechanisms for settling labor disputes. The event witnessed an interactive discussion that addressed a number of practical scenarios that companies face in the actual application of the law.

The Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries - Alexandria Branch organized a specialized symposium on The New Egyptian Labor Law, within the framework of the Chamber’s keenness to raise legislative awareness among member companies and enhance legal compliance within establishments.

The symposium addressed the most prominent features of the law and the most important recent amendments, especially with regard to employment contracts, regulating working hours and vacations, mechanisms for terminating service, and settling labor disputes, in addition to the rights and duties of both the employer and the worker. The floor was also opened for discussion to respond to attendees’ inquiries and discuss the practical challenges facing companies in applying the law.

Engineer Nadeem Elias - President of the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries - opened the activities of the Middle East International Exhibition for the Packaging, Packaging and Printing Industry - the 17th session, which will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition and Conference Center during the period from September 9 to 11, 2025.

Enabling sustainable growth in the packaging sector
The Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries successfully organized a three-day intensive training workshop on Green Packaging, Export Compliance, and Innovation in conjunction with Propack Middle East and North Africa 2025 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center

The training included specialized insights from the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) about Food contact materials and packaging safety standards. It also included interactive sessions with the Industry Modernization Center (IMC) on pharmaceutical product packaging and local manufacturing, followed by a detailed presentation of the regulatory aspect by representatives of Global Arc on the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The last day witnessed the highlights of the General Authority for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) sessions.Focus on international packaging standards, carbon footprint certifications, and practical tools to support companies’ export readiness.
